During today’s Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation, Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware delivered exciting news for fans: Elden Ring is coming to the new console! The game will be released for Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2025.
This version, known as the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, is set to be the definitive package for the new platform. It will combine the critically acclaimed base game with its highly anticipated and sole expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree.
New Content Included
Beyond bringing the full Elden Ring experience and native portability to the Switch 2, the Tarnished Edition will also include some brand-new cosmetic additions. Players can look forward to new armor sets and several customization features for everyone’s favorite spectral steed, Torrent. Importantly, FromSoftware has confirmed that all these new cosmetic additions included in the Tarnished Edition will also be made available on other platforms for existing players.
